Peffingen is a charming village in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate and is part of the Südeifel association municipality. The village is picturesquely situated on the Prüm river in the Südeifel Nature Park.

- Historical sites: The region around Peffingen was settled early on, as evidenced by the discovery of a burial mound northwest of the village. There are 29 burial mounds from the Hunsrück-Eifel Culture (HEK) period.
- Historic mills: There is a historic mill complex from the 19th century on the Pruembrücke bridge. The main building dates back to 1818, supplemented by a stable building (1862) as well as a distillery and an open wing. The mill used the water power of the Prüm for agriculture and food production. Another mill is located at Brückenstraße 4. Built in 1806, it is one of the oldest buildings in the village and is an important cultural monument of the region's craft history.
