Koxhausen, an idyllic village in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate, is picturesquely situated in the Southern Eifel Nature Park. Surrounded by rolling hills and dense forests, the village offers the perfect backdrop for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet.

  • Catholic parish church of St. Cosmas and Damian: The chapel, built in 1712, was extended to become a parish church in 1836 and enlarged again in 1922. The church impresses with its baroque altars and ornate rococo figures.
  • Koxhausen wind farm: One of the largest inland wind farms in Europe is located to the west of Neuerburg. The first four of the twelve wind turbines were put into operation in 1994. The environmentally friendly energy produced is fed into the electricity grid, saving around 15,200 tons of lignite per year.
