- Koxhausen wind farm: One of the largest inland wind farms in Europe is located to the west of Neuerburg. The first four of the twelve wind turbines were put into operation in 1994. The environmentally friendly energy produced is fed into the electricity grid, saving around 15,200 tons of lignite per year.
