Dauwelshausen, an up-and-coming local community in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate, is idyllically situated in the Südeifel nature park. The municipality also includes the residential area of Thielenhof. Dauwelshausen was first mentioned in a document in 1615, when two estates belonged to the Karlshausen dairy. The oldest surviving houses date back to the 17th century.

- Circular hiking trail no. 35 - Gemünd-Dauwelshausen: This 11.5 km circular trail leads through the valley town of Gemünd and the hilltop village of Dauwelshausen. In the Irsen valley, the trail runs through wooded sections, while on the hilltops you can enjoy impressive views over the Irsen and Our valleys.
Traditional events:
- Christmas market: The regionally renowned Christmas market at the village community center takes place every year on the 3rd weekend in Advent.
